The foolish donkey

Once, a farmer owned a donkey and a lapdog. The donkey worked hard all day, hauling heavy loads. The lapdog stayed with its master all day and lived in the house with him. It did not work, but was allowed to sit on its master's lap. The donkey grew jealous of the lapdog.

"Perhaps if I behave like the dog, like wag my tail and jump on the master, the master will start loving me as much as he does the dog." So the donkey waited for its chance.

One day, when it was left unattended, the donkey broke its halter and ran into the farmhouse kitchen, where the farmer sat at the table. The donkey rushed up to him and began wagging its tail vigorously and knocked off all the things on the table. It then started jumping around and frolicking like a little dog and finally, plunked itself down on the farmer's lap. The shocked farmer yelled for help. The farmhands came running in and dragged the donkey off to its stable and gave it a beating it would never forget for the rest of its life.

Pernahakah anda mengeluh???.......
 Kebanyakan orang pernah mengeluh, hanya segelintir orang saja yang tidak pernah mengeluh, karena terkadang manusia belum memahami dibalik semua itu. Seorang laki-laki pernah mengeluh kepada temannya (Curhat gitu......) kemudian temannya menjawab : "seandainya mengeluh itu dibayar maka andalah orang yang paling kaya". 
Seperti cerita Narrative teks bahasa inggris berikut, seorang anak menegeluh kepada ayahnya karena dia belum mengerti, untuk lebih tahu lebih lanjutnya langsung saja baca cerita berikut:

Two sons worked for their father on the family's farm. The younger son had been given more responsibility and reward than the elder one for a few years. So, one day the elder son asked his father to explain the different treatment.

The father said, "First, please go to Kelly's farm and see if they have any geese for sale. We need to add to our stock."

The elder son soon returned with the answer,

"Yes, they have five geese they can sell to "us'

The father then said, "Good. Then, would you askthem the price?"

The son returned with the answer, "The geese are $10 each, Dad."

The father said, "Okay. Now could you ask themwhether they can deliver the geese tomorrow?"

The son duly returned with the answer, "Yes, theycan deliver the geese tomorrow."

Then, the father asked his elder son to wait and listen and called the younger one from a nearby field and asked, "Would you go to Davidson's Farm and see if they have any geese for sale? We need to add to our stock."

The younger son soon returned with the answer,"Yes, they have five geese for $10 each, or ten geese for $8 each and they can deliver them tomorrow.

I asked them to deliver five unless they heardotherwise from us in the next hour. They also agreed that if we want the extra five geese, we can buy them at $6 each."

The father turned to his elder son, who nodded his head in appreciation–he now realized why his younger brother was given more responsibility and reward.

The King and the Beggar

Kenapa eh kenapa Judi itu haram.......... 
Kenapa semua yang asyik-asyik itu diharamkan?
Kenapa semua yang enak-enak itu diharamkan ?
Nah..... nah.... nah..... (Itulah penggalan lagu bang Haji)

Saya sering dengan dari Pak Ustadz bahwa hidup ini ujian, manusia diuji dengan berbagai kemewahan dunia, dan salah satu contoh ujian yang diberikan kepada manusia adalah tidak diperlihatkannya pahala atas kebaikan-kebaikan yang dilakukannya.
Karena hanya orang berimanlah disertai keikhlasan yang berbuat baik tanpa mengharap balasan, kelak di hari pembalasan banyak orang yang akan menyesal (Termasuk saya....he..he..he..) ketika sudah menyaksikan balasan-balasan kebaikan yang dilakukan didunia, mereka pun memohon untuk dikembalikan ke dunia unhtuk berbuat baik, namun jalan tersebut telah tertutup. 
Seperti cerita narrative teks bahasa inggris berikut, setelah melihat coin emas yang diberikan sang Raja, pengemis itu pun menyesal tidak memberikan semua unag receh yang dia miliki, untuh lebih serunya langsung saja baca ceritanya

There was once a poor beggar sitting alongside the road, he begged from morning until night, all he had received was a few grains. But in hopes he may earn more, he continued to beg. Soon the beggar noticed the king coming towards him. The beggar was excited. "May be the king will give me something expensive" he thought. "I'll sell it, and then I will buy myself some food."

The king got out his chariot and walked towards the beggar, but just as the beggar's hopes were raised, the king reached his hands out and begged before the beggar himself could beg!, the beggar was confused "what i give him?" he thought. Not knowing what else to do, he reached into his bag and gave the king a few of his grains. The king took the grains and walk off. The beggar went home sad and sullen. He was upset about not having received anything from the king.

"The townspeople are selfish," he thought. "Nobody gives, nobody cares"

With such thoughts racing through his mind, the beggar dashed his bag of grains against the ground, two golden coin sprung out from the bag as it hit the ground, the king had granted the beggar these two coins without him knowing, he had given them in exchange for the grains.

"What a fool I am!" the beggar thought

"I would have received so much more if I had given the king the whole bag!"
